It’s been a while so let me give you a quick status update on the boys! Im currently working full time in Edinburgh, and Sean is doing the same in the Lakes, leaving us as weekend warriors at best. The others are in their final years at Uni.
You’ll find in this post a video round up of footage collected throughout 2012, featuring Scottish classics, and highlights from the GUCC Alps trip.
Hopefully in te coming months we will all be back to boating more and producing some more videos. As ever check out benmarshall.co.uk for photo goodness!
Been out in Canada this summer working away and getting some boating in as well. Low snow and no rain has made it a dry one so i’ve been getting up to the ottawa when I can for some warm fun. Still can’t playboat though!
Anyway, here’s an edit from a few days on the river.
Got myself a new GoPro hero 2 a few weeks back so I thought i’d bash together an edit to see what it could do. No rain about so we bashed down a low and freezing etive. Still good fun, if a little cold.
It’s Christmas time and all the guys are back home enjoying the free (and very good) food. A little rain and melting snow means the rivers in the north east have been up high over the last couple of days. I managed a quick blast down the Dee today in borrowed kit and a borrowed boat. Big levels made it a fun bouncy trip but mostly just a good bit of cold fun! I imagine that’s the last boating till Christmas now, Merry Christmas all and I shall see you all in the new year.
I’ve had a little spare time of this last weekend and managed to get some photo and video stuffs done! The big result being the creation of a short film showing the highlights form Glasgow Uni Canoe Club’s annual North East Weekend. This year a great bunch of beginners and coaches headed up paddle the river Findhorn and learn some new skills! Thanks to everyone who went for making it a great trip!
Been a while….. as always were busy people so apologies for the slow updates! Heres a video with some of the things we’ve been up to recently. Highlights include the Wet West Paddlefest 2011 and GUCC’s “Wales Weekend” to Laggan….!
In other news….. the annual Machrihanish “surf” weekend and the North East Weekend have been and gone, expect movies covering the various highlights both on and off the water in the coming weeks (slash months).
Thats all for now, I’ll just leave you with a encouragement to check out the newly revamped benmarshall.co.uk for lots of kayaking related photo goodness!
Hello Again, another post?? That’s like two in a week!
Yes, another post, another movie. Ive put together some footage from the trips I mentioned last time. Hopefully many more of these mini movies coming your way over the summer!
So…. there’s not been much posted for a while, mostly because were all busy busy people. Exams, holidays, myself I’m now working full time and so things have slowed down. However I’ve had a few great trips out when the rain has permitted. The Cononish, Dochart, Braan and Tilt have all been ticked off in the last couple of months along with a paddle on the Lyon.
Here’s a video of some the action from spring/early summer.
Hopefully my weekends will become more full of kayaking and Ill bring you more footage as I collect it (already a few top notch carnage clips in the bag). The other guys have all been in the Alps again during June and so expect an update from them soon!
That’s all for now!
At long last here it is. Our entry to the SUCC Annual Extreme Sports FIlm Night, Just Add Water… The film took 2nd place and is now on vimeo for everyone to enjoy!
It’s been a while….
Things on the blog side have been slow for a while now, with uni life drifting back in last year. However we have been busy, a few cracking trips and lots of filming! New camera, new boats. times are exciting! Which leads me to the main focus of this post…
A new film (titles on a postcard please) is in the works, with the release set to be this spring at the annual Strathclyde University Canoe Club Extreme Sports Film Night. For now we can give you a short glimpse with the first in a series of teasers. And with this hopefully a renewed blogging passion! Enjoy!
